We had an amazing day at Kings Priory School for our annual Girls in Computing Event! This event was designed for Year 7 girls, providing them with an exciting opportunity to dive into the world of computing and cybersecurity.

Throughout the day, the girls engaged in a variety of enlightening courses, including Operation Enigma, Cyber Explorers and Trailblazers. Each course offered unique challenges and learning experiences, allowing the students to explore different aspects of technology and cybersecurity.

Operation Enigma introduced them to the history and techniques of codebreaking, giving them a taste of the critical thinking and problem-solving skills used by cybersecurity professionals.

Cyber Explorers showed them how to navigate the digital world safely, with a particular focus on understanding the importance of social media platform safety and the basics of cyber threats.

Trailblazer's encouraged innovation and creativity, it empowered the girls by fostering critical thinking in technology. It inspired participants to develop new ideas and solutions through a hands-on approach to learning the latest advancements in tech and cybersecurity.

The enthusiasm and curiosity shown by the participants was inspiring. It was a fantastic day filled with learning, collaboration and fun, highlighting the potential of these young girls to become future leaders in technology and cybersecurity.

We look forward to continuing this tradition and can't wait to see what our future events will bring! Thank you to everyone who made this day a success.
